ELK TRIP, FEBRUARY 6, 2009

WELL, ONCE AGAIN IT WAS MARVELOUS!!!!  This year we were completely full.  About 46 joined us for a fun filled, sunny day at Elk Mtn.  We started out, as usual at 6 am in Huntingdon Valley and then picked up our other club members in Ft. Washington.  The traffic was light and we arrivdat Elk just a bit before 9am.

 The weather was Sunny and Clear and the Ski Conditions were Great!!!  We all met  later in the day at the bar for a few cocktails before heading back home.  I really want to thank everyone for their cooperation!  I couldn't do this trip without the wonderful people in the Philadelphia Ski Club and all of their Family and Friends. 

ELK TRIP, MARCH 13, 2009

I THINK THIS WAS A ONCE IN A LIFETIME!!!  Because I have been running the trips for the last 7 years,  we were informed by the Elk Group Sales Dept. we had a credit.   So I was able with some negotiating run a trip up to Elk for a day of skiing for $35.00.  It was another GREAT DAY at Elk.  I bet that there were only about 50 people on the entire mountain all day and 28 of them were from the Philadelphia Ski Club.  The slopes were like skiing on corduroy, it was a little nippy, but it seemed to warm up in the afternoon.  The Sun was out all day.  Again, this club likes to end their day in the Bar, okay by me!!!!   We hit the road about 4:30 pm and arrived home around 7:30pm.  We had a wonderful time!!!  Keep your fingers crossed.  With any luck, maybe next year with some notice we can do this again.
